Share and Share Certificate Accounts

 

Regular Share Accounts

In order to be eligible for membership in the credit union, a member will be required to establish a share account by depositing an initial $5.00 into a share account. All members must maintain a $5.00 balance in their savings account to remain a member, and demonstrate regular activity in their account to keep it open.

 

Withdrawals from any share account may be made at any time and on any day the credit union is open for business; however, a member is required to maintain a minimum share balance of $5.00.

 

The amount of shares per member will not be limited; however, each member shall be entitled to only one vote in the affairs of the credit union regardless of the number of shares held.

 

Holiday Club Accounts

This member special account will allow unlimited deposits and up to three (3) withdrawals at the member's convenience any time in the calendar year. Dividends shall be paid quarterly and calculated by the same method as regular share accounts.*

 

Christmas Club Accounts

The Christmas Club account at WCSEFCU will have you decking the halls stress free! This account allows you to set aside spending money for the holidays. Direct deposit funds into your account from your paycheck, and then when the time comes to shop, you can do it worry-free! The Christmas Club account can be opened with as little as $5.  Funds can be drawn starting November 1st through December 25th.   There are no account fees unless funds are accessed prior to scheduled payout.**

Gator Saver Youth Club Accounts

Teach your children how to save! Designed for children or grandchildren of our members. When opening an account, they will receive a Passbook to track deposits/withdrawals, Report Card rewards at the end of the school year, Prize when making a transaction, and a Annual Meeting Drawing just for them!***

Share Certificates

Share certificates from your Credit Union are an excellent investment opportunity if you do not need immediate access to your funds and want to invest for longer periods to obtain a higher rate of return. Ware County School Employees FCU offers three month, six month, and one year share certificates at competitive rates. The minimum deposit for share certificates is $2,500.00. There is a penalty for early withdrawal.
